- Litigating a breach of a generation joint-ownership agreement at the FERC
- Challenging a request for continued authority to sell power at market-based rates at the FERC
- Participating in a utility merger proceeding at the FERC
- Opposing retail electric rate increases at various state commissions on behalf of industrial customers
- Arranging the financing for and closing a long-term loan for the purchase of a co-ownership interest in three power plants
- Analyzing bids received in a Request For Proposal to provide wholesale power to seven municipalities
- Negotiating a natural gas supply agreement for a large manufacturer
- Negotiating an electric power supply agreement for a large manufacturer
- Developing and testifying in support of improvements to national model and state energy and building codes
- Advocating improvements to various federal and state energy efficiency programs
- Supporting the imposition of antidumping duties on unfairly traded imports
- Successfully seeking improvements in the Energy Policy Act of 2005
- Achieving commercial operation of a 150 MW natural-gas fired combustion turbine electric generating station in San Jacinto, Texas, on July 18, 2009
- Serves as FERC licensing counsel for the original licensing of a new hydropower facility at an existing water supply reservoir in Texas, and for the relicensing of a major hydroelectric project in California
