Eric J. Lacey is Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Brickfield, Burchette, Ritts & Stone, and has been with the firm since 2004.  Mr. Lacey serves as Chairman of the Responsible Energy Codes Alliance, a group of regional and national energy efficiency advoacates, environmental groups and energy efficient product manufacturers.  As such, he leads a nationwide campaign to promote state and local adoption of up-to-date building energy codes.  He has also participated in a variety of national and state code development processes for building energy codes and green building codes.

Mr. Lacey also works in litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters on behalf of the firm's industrial, manufacturing, municipal, and cooperative clients.

Mr. Lacey received a B.A. in English and French from Idaho State University in 2000, where he served as Student Body President and was awarded the 2000 Outstanding Student Achievement Award. He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2004, where he served as an Executive Editor for the Georgetown Law Journal.
