Driving Directions:

From Virginia

• AT THE BELTWAY (I-495) AND I-95 N, go straight under the bridge, following signs to Washington, DC. Road becomes I-395 N. (This interchange is under construction, so the exact route may vary. Nevertheless, your general direction is straight, and there will always be signs that direct you to Washington, DC.)
• RIGHT at exit 8B. The Sign will say VA-27 Washington Boulevard, Pentagon, Arlington Cemetary, Rosslyn, Memorial Bridge. You are headed for the Memorial Bridge. You will pass the Pentagon building on the right.
• STAY LEFT where the road forks and get on the Memorial Bridge. Once on the bridge, stay to the far right.
• TURN RIGHT at the end of the bridge. Follow the sign that reads Rock Creek Parkway, Kennedy Center. Get in the right lane of Rock Creek Parkway. You will pass expansive white steps on your right and go underneath a highway bridge.
• GO STRAIGHT at the fork in the road following the small brown sign that reads Rock Creek Parkway/Whitehurst Freeway. The two lanes curving hard to the left which you should NOT take, are blocked off during morning and evening rush hours (6:30-9:30 am and 3:30-6:30 am).
• STAY IN SECOND LEFT LANE. You will pass Kennedy Center on the left. Large green overhead signs say Rock Creek Parkway for the two left lanes and Whitehurst Freeway for the right lanes. Your lane will dead-end into a small unmarked road under a highway bridge (It's 27th Street on a map.)
• TURN RIGHT and go up the hill.
• TURN LEFT at the traffic light onto K Street, N.W.
• AT THE WHITEHURST FREEWAY, stay in the middle lane of K Street and go down the hill, plunging underneath the Whitehurst Freeway. Do not veer to the right and go up the exit ramp to Whitehurst Freeway.
• RIGHT into the parking garage just past 30th Street, the second street on your right after you go underneath the Whitehurst Freeway.

From Maryland - North and West

• TAKE THE BELTWAY (I-495) West towards American Legion Bridge and Tyson's Corner, Virginia.
• RIGHT onto Exit 39 off the Beltway
• TAKE LEFT FORK of the exit to Cabin John Parkway.
• Cabin John Parkway becomes the Clara Barton Parkway. (Warning: the parkway has both lanes going in to DC from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and both lanes out from DC from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. If you are going in to DC during the 3-7 pm rush hour, take exit 39, right fork to River Road, East. Take River Road until it dead ends into Wisconsin Avenue. Turn right and take Wisconsin Avenue to its end, all the way down to the Potomac River at K Street)
• The Clara Barton Parkway sends you onto Canal Road. Get in the left lane. Take Canal into Georgetown. Avoid the exits to the right for the Whitehurst Freeway and the Key Bridge.
• Canal Road become M Street at the Key Bridge. Take M to Wisconsin Avenue. You will see the gold dome of Riggs bank on your left.
• RIGHT onto Wisconsin Avenue. Take Wisconsin to the bottom of the hill.
• LEFT onto K Street. K Street runs under the Whitehurst freeway.
• LEFT into the parking garage just past the Washington Harbor complex on your right and Thomas Jefferson Street on your left.

From Maryland - East

• TAKE THE BELTWAY (I-495) towards Route 50 (Exit 19).
• ROUTE 50 WEST EXIT toward Washington.
• Route 50 West becomes New York Avenue at the Washington, DC border.
• Straight on New York Avenue until 9th Street.
• LEFT on 9th Street, then
• IMMEDIATE RIGHT onto K Street
• AT THE WHITEHURST FREEWAY, stay in the middle lane of K Street and go down the hill, plunging underneath the Whitehurst Freeway. Do not veer to the right and go up the exit ramp to Whitehurst Freeway.
• RIGHT into the parking garage just past 30th Street, the second street on your right after you go underneath the Whitehurst Freeway.
