Mr. Burchette, as a Principal of the firm, has represented rural electric cooperatives and municipal electric clients for over 25 years. He serves as general counsel to three generation and transmission cooperatives and as special counsel to many other cooperatives nationwide. In this capacity, he counsels the firm's clients in all aspects of the electric utility industry. He is an experienced litigator having represented clients in various state and federal courts and regulatory agencies across the country.

Mr. Burchette is a graduate of Guilford College and Wake Forest University Law School. He served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and as a trial attorney in the Land and Natural Resources Section of the Department of Justice for the period 1968 to 1976. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Guilford College.
