Mr. Mackaronis joined the firm as Counsel on August 3, 2005. Mr. Mackaronis represents clients in complex litigation and on virtually all workplace and employment issues.
Mr. Mackaronis has a wealth of trial experience, including numerous jury trials, in both simple and complex employment litigation and has also litigated cases involving the theft of trade secrets, claims of misappropriation and breach of fiduciary duty claims. He has successfully litigated several challenges to federal regulatory action under the Administrative Procedure Act. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Mackaronis has argued numerous cases in the federal Courts of Appeals.
Mr. Mackaronis regularly counsels both union and non-union clients on workplace issues, including compliance with the federal and state employment laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, gender, national origin, religion, age and handicapping condition. He has also represented numerous clients in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Mackaronis has particular expertise regarding employee benefit plans, with special emphasis on pension and welfare benefit plans and retirement incentive programs.
